Superlative in English, TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST

Superlative is usually a material in English Test such as TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST. So a little theory below will be useful for us to face Superlative in English Test such as TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST. I believe and sure you will understand well about this Superlative theory to face English Test such as TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST.

Usually Superlative in English Test such as TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST, in form of STRUCTURE. It wasn't difficult to find a correct or uncorrect underline Superlative material in English Test such as TOEFL, IELTS and Another TEST.

So, now we go for It !!!

To form the superlative, we add 'the' and '-est' or `-st' to one-syllable adjectives, and to two-syllable adjectives ending in `-y', we also replace the 'y' with an i. Superlatives are usually preceded by 'the' (or a possesive adjective or 's).

old --> the oldest
wide--> the widest
sunny --> the sunniest

With most adjectives of two syllables or more, we use `the most'.

interesting --> the most interesting

exciting --> the most exciting

Don't forget that some adjectives have irregul superlative forms.

good --> the best


Example of Superlative:

London is the biggest city in the UK.

Who is the most famous pop star in Russia?

John is my best friend.

Mont Blanc is Europe's highest mountain.
