Using Too Much, Too Many, and Not Enough In English

 We using Too Much, Too Many, and Not Enough to express about quantity of something.

`Enough' means the necessary amount. `Not enough' means less than the necessary amount.


There is enough flour.
We can make a cake!
(We need 1 lb* and we have 2 lbs.)

`Too much' and 'too many' mean more than amount. They have negative meanings.
`Too much' is used with uncountable nouns `too many' with countable nouns.

I couldn't sleep.
There was too much noise last night. 
I ate too many cookies.
I felt sick.

* lb is an abbreviation for pound.
1 lb = 454 grams, 1 kg = 2.2 lb.
